Babel 48 (2024): Vote for the Audience Award

This January, dozens of high school students across Hong Kong made films over 2 days to compete in Babel 48, a 48-hour film competition organized by Babel Film Workshop.

Schools that participated officially include Canadian International School, Chinese International School and King George V School—three schools with the strongest film programs in Hong Kong.

Submitted films will by judged by Babel Film Workshop teachers based on their incorporation of this year’s prompts into their films, as well as creative and technical execution. Finalists will be screened at the 1st Babel Film Awards and compete for:

  • Best 48-Hour Film

  • 1st Runner Up

  • 2nd Runner Up

  • Special Mention(s)*

  • Audience Award

Films can only be awarded once, and late entries will not be considered for any Awards. *Special Mentions may be awarded to recognize exceptional use of film craft.
