Babel Film Workshop’s mission is to empower everyone’s creativity through film and media arts education. We provide the best programs for students to learn the creative and technical skills necessary to express themselves in today’s world.
Our Story
Babel Film Workshop was founded in 2018 by Jeremy Hung, a Chinese American filmmaker and educator. Growing up in Hong Kong, Jeremy realized that students in our city don’t get many opportunities to learn filmmaking, missing out on an important form of creativity.
After graduating from New York University’s film school and working in international film industries, Jeremy aimed to make film and media arts education more accessible to students in Hong Kong.
Since then, over 1,500 students aged 8-18 have worked with Babel Film Workshop to develop their creativity, visual literacy and communication skills by engaging in the most influential art form of our time.
