Content
Want your child to be a smarter viewer of movies and digital content? Children today spend more time watching content on screens than ever, but don’t learn to understand and think critically about what they watch, which means they miss out on essential media literacy skills. In this activity, students will explore their curiosity about screens by engaging in fun activities based on age-appropriate comedy movies. This holiday, they will:
Learn to analyze and understand stories in comedy movies
Create their own movie journals to reflect on what they watch
Develop critical thinking skills for watching digital media
Work with teachers who have professional experience in media literacy education
No devices are required. Parents/guardians are invited to a Showcase on the last class. Only 8 spots available, so enroll now to not miss out on the fun of watching movies for meaning!
