9 Best Film/Media Summer Camps for Students in Hong Kong 2022

Babel Film Workshop offers a variety of fun and professional filmmaking camps for students aged 8-18, located at their Wong Chuk Hang studio.

Want to have a fun and professional filmmaking experience this summer? Students interested in learning filmmaking can choose from the following list of camps to learn everything from special effects, anime voice acting, vlogging, and short film production.

Ages 8-11

1. Superhero Movie Script

Create a story featuring your favorite superhero! Most students have taken creative writing classes before, but have never tried writing a movie script. 2. Special Effects Filmmaking

Learn to create impressive special effects in your videos! Students often watch movies with special effects in them, but don’t know how they’re created. 3. Voice Acting & Sound Effects: Anime (Level 1)

4. Movie Trailer Editing

Learn video editing with Hollywood movie clips! Many students have tried video editing before, but few know how to edit professional quality video. 5. Summer Vlog Production

Have you ever wondered how you can become a vlogger? Students who enjoy watching vlogs on YouTube may want to try creating their own vlogs, without knowing where to start. 6. Hollywood Hong Kong

Want the most comprehensive, Hollywood-inspired filmmaking experience this summer? Many Hong Kong students watch Hollywood movies without knowing how their city has inspired some classic and recent blockbusters. 7. Movie Scene Remake

Learn how a professional movie scene is filmed by remaking iconic movie scenes. Students often watch movie scenes without knowing how they were filmed. In this camp, students will work with the screenplays of well-known movies, and make their own directing decisions to film a version of the scene. Runs from Jul 11-15, 2022. Experience the power of movie editing. Many students have edited videos before, but few understand the creative impact movie editors have.
