Announcing Film Stylo 2024: A Film Competition for Teenage Filmmakers in Hong Kong
Babel Film Workshop is thrilled to announce the launch of Film Stylo 2024, a film competition designed to encourage teenagers in Hong Kong to express themselves through filmmaking. For teenagers aged 12-18 interested in film and media arts, this is the perfect opportunity to explore how you can capture your unique perspective on film and share it with an audience. To participate, simply create a short film according to the Film Stylo guidelines and based on this year’s theme, and submit it before April 21st, 2024.
"The Human Touch"
In the past year, students around the world have witnessed the rapid advancement of technology, especially in the field of generative AI, which raises important questions about what makes us human, as well as what skills will be relevant for students to be future ready. This year’s Film Stylo theme, “The Human Touch” invites students to explore the essence of human connection, emotion and experience by embracing their human creativity through filmmaking.
Submitted films will be considered for the annual Film Stylo shortlist, which will be screened at Babel Film Workshop and compete for the Top 5 Award. Previous shortlisted and winning filmmakers have gained further exposure for their films through public screenings and film festivals.
