Casting & Crewing: Hong Kong West Island IB Film (“Half Written Dream”)
Project Description: A West Island School IB HL short film, inspired by Hong Kong New Wave. In Hong Kong, two teenage girls navigate romantic love that is hidden from the world, their relationship are bound to be constricted.
Cast Roles:
Michelle (15-18 years old, female, HongKongnese) -
Michelle is an introverted teenager who is reserved, dismissive, yet beneath it all, soft for the people she loves. She is one of the two main characters in this film, in which she is in a hidden unnamed romantic relationship with the other. Please note that there will be no kissing scenes nor anything that is remotely sexual-intimacy related. Must be fluent in Cantonese.Ashley (15-18, female, HongKongnese) -
Ashley an outgoing teenager who is confident, kind, yet ultimately a people pleaser. She is the second main character in this film along with Michelle, in which she is more open with her love language. Please note that there will be no kissing scenes nor anything that is remotely sexual-intimacy related. Must be fluent in Cantonese.
Crew Roles:
Boom Operator (14-18) - Must have experience in filmmaking. Fluent in English.
Assistant Camera (14-18) - Must have experience in filmmaking. Fluent in English.
Production Assistant (14-18) - Recommended for those who are interested in film. Fluent in English.
Compensation: Negotiable
Dates: Aug 10, 11, 13, 14 (approx. 5-8 hours per day)
