Story: When the Cheng family celebrates the Hungry Ghost Festival, a variety of unexpected guests show up to partake in the family reunion (of the living and the dead)...

Roles:

  • Allie Cheng (18, Female, Chinese American): Allie is in the chrysalis phase of her glow up, and after she recently came out to her family, she gets the sense they’re not entirely comfortable with it.

  • Julie Cheng (Early 20s, Female, Chinese American): Julie is the first child of Molly and Malcolm, and she is "eldest daughter energy personified." She and her boyfriend Tristan join the family for the holiday.

  • Tristan (20s, Male, Any Ethnicity): Julie’s painfully considerate and extremely polite boyfriend who helps the family prepare for the Hungry Ghost Festival.
