Babel Film Workshop Launches Summer Camps in Partnership with BIMM University

This summer, teenagers in Hong Kong interested in filmmaking can get the incredible experience of learning to make films at Babel Film Workshop, and getting professional feedback from a senior lecturer at BIMM University, U.K.’s second largest education provider for creative industries.

For ages 12-16, Hollywood Hong Kong immerses students in the location of an iconic film shot in the city to produce their own short film. They will discover how Hong Kong’s cityscape has inspired major filmmakers around the world, including of films like Dr. Strange, Godzilla vs. Kong and The Dark Knight.

For ages 14-18, our summer edition of Short Film Incubation provides an advanced opportunity for students to learn how to produce a professional narrative short film. They will elevate their film production skills by engaging in all aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, cinematography and editing.

After each camp, students’ work will be shared with BIMM University’s Emma Topping, a senior lecturer at their Screen and Film School who has served as Executive Producer on projects by Netflix and Sony, for professional feedback.

This is a rare opportunity for high school students to create films and receive feedback from an experienced professional in U.K.’s film industry, and space for both camps is limited, so enroll now if you’re interested!
