Filmmaking may not be an Olympic sport, but it has many deep-rooted connections with the international sport event. For instance, both were born in the same city in the 1890s, and were used for propaganda and recovery throughout world wars.

In fact, at every Olympic Game, a century-old tradition of bringing sports and film together continues. Do you know which renowned Japanese filmmaker will be making the official Olympic film this year?

This October, 12 high school students and recent graduate were selected to participated as crew members on a local short film production.
